Between 16th June and 2nd July a large quantity of domestic heating oil has been stolen from an oil tank at a residential property in the area of Wetton.

Should you have any information in relation to the theft please make contact via telephone 101 or via social media quoting 21260109601. Please remain vigilant and report suspicious behaviour to Police.

Please consider the the following to keep your oil tank safe:

• Installing an anti syphoning gauge
• Using a padlock or lockable filler cap
• Securing the oil tank within a cage
• Fit an electronic gauge, which can activate an alarm when the oil level drops 
• Fit security lights near to the oil tank location     
• Fit CCTV cameras
